Sometimes I wonder if God feels like we are acting out a mobile phone commercial.
God patiently “calls” numerous times with varying messages in an attempt for us to hear and understand. Instead of recognizing and heeding the call, we (whether intentionally or not) typically follow our own path or wander aimlessly around the intended path.
Instead of a clear connection, God must feel like we are victims of dropped calls or, at best, bad connections. Even with the best intentions, we often fall short of our potential and fail to directly follow God’s path.
This post may sound discouraging but, to me, it is a reminder of the hope and grace found through God’s love. Despite our failures and delays, God remains steady and patiently continues to guide & protect us.
Just as I am pleased with the efforts and accomplishments of my children, our Father in Heaven feels the same about each of us.
